Where Your First Pair Begins

Introduction to Jean Making is an immersive one-week course where you’ll transform the skills developed throughout the industrial sewing curriculum into your first completed garment. Guided by experienced denim professionals, you’ll learn the complete process of constructing a pair of jeans while working with the same tools, materials, and techniques used throughout the industry.

Throughout the week, you’ll learn how to read sewing patterns, interpret garment specifications, understand seam allowances, accurately cut denim, and assemble every component using industrial sewing machines. With expert instruction and hands-on practice, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how each construction step contributes to a well-made pair of jeans.

We provide the patterns and materials so you can focus entirely on learning and creating. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a finished pair of jeans you cut and sewed yourself, along with the confidence to continue exploring the craft of denim making.
